This position is responsible for the use and operation of heavy construction equipment which includes Compactor, Forklift, Dozer, Front End Loader, Excavator and Grader. This position requires a multi-faceted track and wheel driven heavy equipment operator that can safely, effeciently and consistently cut/fill to minimal direction or over site and will have some knowledge of construction survey.
Position may involve performing other duties as required, which may not be mentioned below. Specific functions may change from time to time.

Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, and materials, using trucks, crawler tractors, shovels, graders, or related equipment
Drive and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, and rocks, and to distribute and level earth or terrain.
Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Must be able to quickly and repeatedly adjust controls of machine to exact positions as necessary.
Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations of Charah and its customers.
Must have the ability to communicate clearly, listen and understand information through spoken words and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate response.
May require night, weekend, holiday, and/or overtime work based on the job site's operation schedule.
Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.
This position requires working in the internal and external environment.
This position requires a flexible work schedule; night and/or weekends will be required.
Working knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in ash management, structure fills, and landfills.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Previous work-related skill, knowledge, and/or experience are required.
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
