Job OverviewThe Specialty Gas Sales Representative helps grow Arc3's profitable Specialty Gas, Medical Gas, and Dry Ice sales in North Carolina by working with the local Arc3 Gases Sales teams throughout the state by creating and maintaining strong customer relationships.
A successfully Specialty Gas Sales Representative will create such relationships by actively listening and using technical knowledge and experience to analyze customers' needs and desires and provide the best product and service solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties Identify prospective customers using numerous sources, including online research, cold-calling, obtaining leads from existing clients, participating in organizations, and attending trade shows and conferences.
Work with the Arc3 Gases Branch sales representatives to gain and maintain business and provide technical expertise when needed.
Acquire and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the Specialty gases, Medical Gases, Dry Ice and related products and services that Arc3 Gases offers.
Understanding how the gases and related products are best used and optimize those products and services.
Have a complete understanding of the Arc3 Gases Medical and Specialty Gas products to include support equipment such as regulators, valves, safety equipment and gas detector.
Must be able to answer customer questions in regards to Medical and Specialty gas & dry ice offering, all the while earning trusted expert status.
Negotiate and quote prices.
Maintain customer records.
Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders.
Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and credit terms.
Compute customer's installation or production costs and estimate savings from new products and services.
Prepare sales presentations or proposals to explain product specifications or applications, with and without Arc3's partner vendors.
Inform customers of estimated delivery schedules, service contracts, warranties, and other information pertaining to purchased products.
Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information.
Distribute resources, such as samples and promotional and educational materials.
Promote and sell service contracts for technical products.
Demonstrate the operation or use of technical products.
Consult with vendors and other salespersons regarding resolving customers' technical problems with products.
Handle customer complaints and help quickly resolve issues.
Willing to travel 1-3 nights per week.
Qualifications Must have sales experience, preferably in the Industrial Gas Industry.
A minimum of 3 years experience, selling , using or operating with Specialty gases, and/or medical gases Possess a 4-year college or university degree in a relevant major and/or a vocational degree and/or a high school diploma with 3 to 5 years experience in the industry with a focus on Specialty Gases, Medical Gases, and Dry Ice.
Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time, reach and bend at the waist, lift and carry up to 75 lbs, and drive a vehicle or have someone who can drive you around a good part of the day.
Strong computer skills focused on Microsoft Office programs like Outlook, Excel, and Word.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
